Winning gold at the 2025 GroceryAid Awards

We’re proud to share that we’ve been awarded a Gold GroceryAid Award for 2025. The award recognises our ongoing support for GroceryAid’s mission to provide vital support to those working in the grocery industry.

The charity, which was founded in 1857, provides financial, emotional and practical support to those working in our industry. This includes our colleagues in manufacturing, supermarkets, independent grocers, and wholesalers.

The impact of this support is substantial, in 2024/25 alone, the charity spent more than £6.5 million helping colleagues, providing support to over 139,000 cases. This represents a remarkable 76% increase on the previous year, highlighting the growing need for assistance across the industry.

Achieving the Gold award is so much more than just a trophy to us; it’s a mark of appreciation for the role we’ve played in raising awareness and contributing to GroceryAid’s fundraising efforts over the past year. For us, the real reward is knowing we’re helping to make a difference for those across our industry.

We’ve been investing in people since 1964, which is why we believe in supporting the organisations and people who help support the fresh produce industry, especially in these uncertain times.

This award reflects the efforts of the wider MWW team, who have been dedicated to raising awareness through volunteering, events, and simply spreading the word about GroceryAid.
