We made history at the ABCC Awards 2025!

Last month, the MWW team stepped into the spotlight for the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) Awards 2025, attending as a finalist in the Outstanding Contribution to Diversity and Inclusion category.

The ABCC Awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of Asian businesses across the West Midlands, showcasing the positive impact they have had on the Asian business community.

We’ve proudly been part of the ABBC network for many years, connecting with like-minded businesses and professionals who share our values of hard work, fairness and community spirit. So, it’s a real honour to have been shortlisted for our work to build a diverse and inclusive workforce – especially alongside such incredible businesses like Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham Impact FC, and Fresh Breeze Environmental Ltd.

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion

Being recognised by the ABCC wasn’t about taking home a trophy, it was showcasing the daily choices we make at MWW, the culture we work hard to nurture, and the values we live by. Just one example of this is how we take part in the Diwali Basket Brigade every year as part of our charity work – a volunteer organisation based in the West Midlands that packs and delivers food hampers to families and individuals in need from all faiths and backgrounds across the UK.

This nomination is proof that our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive is not just the right thing to do, but it’s been recognised by business leaders that share the same vision.

For us, inclusion is part of our DNA, and we aim to lead the way for businesses across the UK.

Looking ahead

The black-tie gala was a great opportunity to connect with representatives from some of the most inspiring organisations in the Asian business community. 

While we didn't win, being an ABCC finalist is a fantastic achievement and positions us among some of the West Midlands' most forward-thinking and values-driven organisations.

This recognition belongs to every colleague who promotes inclusivity, welcomes different perspectives, and creates a workplace where everyone feels valued.
