Amazon Fresh Visits MWW: A Day of Insight and Collaboration
Last month, Amazon Fresh visited the MWW Farms and Altitude to learn more about the diverse range of products we offer and see first-hand how the MWW Group various operations support our overall mission of getting the best and freshest fruit and veg from the field to supermarket shelves.
We had the pleasure of welcoming Rhiddi Kapoor, Lottie Macken, Alice Nightingale and George Cox from Amazon Fresh. The team spent a morning in London, where our technical team conducted a fruit and vegetable masterclass. The session aimed to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of the quality and variety of produce that we handle on a day-to-day basis.
Our guests from Amazon Fresh were also given a guided tour of our farming operations in Worcestershire hosted by our very own Simon Barnett and Charlie Cleaver. The Amazon Fresh team had the opportunity to observe five different crops in various stages of growth. This first-hand experience provided them with valuable insights into our farming practices and the care we put into ensuring only the highest quality produce reaches our customers.
The highlight of the tour was showcasing our sustainable farming techniques and the innovative methods we use to enhance crop yield and quality. The visitors were particularly interested in our approach to crop rotation, pest control, and soil health management. These practices not only ensure the sustainability of our farming operations but also guarantee that we deliver fresh and nutritious produce to our customers.
The final part if the visit was to Birmingham, where there was ample time to tour our Altitude production facility. The Amazon Fresh team were able to meet with many of our MWW colleagues, who left a strong impression on them with the depth of their expertise and enthusiasm about all things fruit and veg. The tour also included our team demonstrating the careful processes involved in handling, packaging, and distributing fresh produce across the country.
Although Amazon is a major player in many online sectors, they are relatively a new entrant into the Fresh Fruit & Vegetables category. Which means visits like this, are crucial for building strong relationships and positioning ourselves as a key partner as Amazon Fresh continues to expand in the UK. By highlighting our capabilities and the quality of our operations, we are setting the stage for future collaboration and growth between our two businesses.
We are excited about the possibilities that this visit has opened. The potential for growth in the Fresh Fruit & Vegetables market is immense, and we are well-positioned to support Amazon Fresh in its journey. By continuing to deliver exceptional quality and service, we aim to strengthen our partnership and achieve mutual success.
