A New Chapter Begins: MWW Awards Scholarship to Emily Vickers

MWW were proud to recently visit Harper Adams University to present Emily Vickers with her MWW scholarship certificate, marking an exciting milestone at the beginning of her journey with us.

The presentation was attended by Sarah Wadelin, Senior Technical Manager, who joined in recognising Emily’s achievement and celebrating this important moment. It was a pleasure to meet Emily in person and her enthusiasm and ambition for the industry were clear. We are delighted to be welcoming her to the business. Emily will be joining MWW in July 2026 for a 13-month placement as part of her degree programme.

During her placement, Emily will take on the role of Technical Assistant, providing her with a valuable and well-rounded introduction to the fresh produce sector. The position is designed to give hands-on exposure to key areas of the business, including technical operations, product quality, and the day-to-day workings of the industry. This experience will play an important role in developing her skills and understanding of the sector.

Emily will be following in the footsteps of our current scholarship student, Julie Johnson, who has made an excellent contribution during her time with us. Julie’s dedication and achievements have set a strong foundation, ensuring that Emily joins a supportive and well-established environment where she can thrive.

At MWW, we place great importance on creating opportunities for students through initiatives such as our scholarship programme. These placements not only help students gain practical experience, but also allow us to support the next generation of talent entering the industry. Strengthening our partnership with Harper Adams University remains a key part of this commitment.

We are looking forward to welcoming Emily to the team in July and supporting her throughout her placement.
