MWW is delighted to congratulate Chris Forsey at our affiliated company, QPI in Holland, for his extraordinary accomplishments this April, successfully completing not just one, but two marathons in seven days!

Our ironman Chris, proved his remarkable endurance by finishing the London Marathon this past Sunday in an impressive time of 4 hours and 24 seconds. Earlier in the month, he also tackled the Rotterdam Marathon, crossing the finish line in 3 hours and 52 minutes. These performances are a testament to his dedication, perseverance, and commitment to making a difference.

This gruelling endeavour wasn’t just a test of physical stamina but also a personally meaningful effort to raise awareness and funds for the Muscular Sclerosis Society. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a condition that deteriorates the myelin sheath protecting nerves in the brain and spinal cord, leading to a spectrum of symptoms, including vision problems and motor function challenges. Affecting over 130,000 people in the UK, MS typically reveals itself between the ages of 30 and 50, although initial symptoms often appear much earlier.

Motivated by personal connections, as family members and friends are affected by MS, Chris chose to challenge himself with back-to-back marathons. His commitment reflects his deep personal commitment to the cause, highlighting the broader impacts of these efforts beyond just physical achievements.

If you’re inspired by Chris's dedication, contributions can still be made to support this incredible cause. Donations are still being accepted through his Just Giving page, accessible here.

The Rotterdam and London Marathons are prominent fixtures in the European athletic calendar, each known for their unique characteristics. The Rotterdam Marathon is famed for its flat, fast course that winds through the city’s modern architecture, making it a favourite for runners seeking to set personal bests. London Marathon offers a scenic route past historical landmarks such as Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace.

Both events significantly contribute to charitable efforts, with millions raised annually to support various causes. At MWW, we’re proud to support charitable initiatives, and we are especially proud of Chris's achievements and the positive impact he continues to have.
